When done properly the doors will automatically lock and then unlock.
7. TEST REMOTE ( S ) TO ENSURE PROPER PROGRAMMING.

If the LED does not flash or the central locking system fails to respond, you must repeat the initialization procedure.

If you possess additional transmitters for you vehicle (up to a maximum of 4 units) you must now initialize these as well.

Be sure that no more than 30 seconds is allowed to elapse between the individual initialization procedures.

Do not actuate the steering lock during this time.

CAS2 System Programming Manual for BMW

1. Insert key into driver’s door lock and open central locking system using the car key.
You must initiate the central locking system first.
2. Get into the car, close all doors and insert the key into the Ignition Switch.
3. Using the car key, switch the ignition lock briefly to ignition lock position 1 and switch off again.
The switching time must remain under 5 seconds, otherwise the system is not ready for initialization.
You must insert & turn the key to ignition switch position 1 ( not position 2 )
4. Remove the key from Ignition Switch.
5. Press button #2 and hold in.
You must remove the key from ignition switch and press & hold button #2 within 5 seconds of removal.
5. Still pressing button #2 - press button #1 three times.
You then have up to 10 seconds to press the Roundel button THREE times.
6. Relase button #2
When done properly the doors will automatically lock and then unlock.
7. Test remote ( s ) to ensure proper programming.
If you have any additional remote keys - you start their programming on STEP 5.
Do not insert any additional remote key into the ignition switch - if you do - the 1st key will lose it's programming.

If the ZV does not send a return signal, initialization bust be restarted. Once the first initialization process has been completed,
another three radio transmitters can be initialized. For every radio transmitter, the procedure described under 4 above must
be repeated within 30 seconds, otherwise initialization stand-by is switched off. During initialization, all other existing radio
transmitters must be initialized. The ignition lock must never be reactivated during the initialization process. If this were to
hapen, then all radio transmitters would have to be re-initialized.

How to Program a 2001 Ford F150 Remote Key (3B , 4B)

Step by Step How to Program Instructions:

Note: It is necessary to have all of your keyless remotes available prior to beginning this procedure. All keyless remotes not present during the programming procedure will not work when the programming procedure has been competed.

1. DO NOT depress brake pedal during this programming procedure.

2. Unlock all doors using the power door lock switch on door panel.

3. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

4. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.

5. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.

6. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Step by Step How to Programming Instructions:

Programming new remotes
The keyless entry system is equipped with a code learning feature that allows you to program new remote into the system or to delete old ones.
The system can learn up to four unique transmitter codes. The four transmitter codes may be the same or different.

To register a new remote with the keyless entry system, it is necessary to program the remote's code (identification number) into the system.
A label showing the code is affixed to the bag containing the transmitter, and another is affixed to the circuit board inside the remote. If there is no bag, open the remote and make a note of the eight-digit number, the code is also inside the remote.

Programming the remote (from the owners manual) read through this first since everything needs to be done in a quick sequence
1. Sit in the driver's seat, close all doors and the rear gate or trunk lid etc
2. Open and close the driver's door one time.

then Within 45 seconds
3. open and close the driver's door once
4. turn the ignition key from LOCK to ON 10 times within 15 seconds.
An electronic tone will sound once, a buzzer will continue to sound and the interior light will continue to flash until the remotes are completely registered.

If you do not perform the steps above within 45 seconds an error will occur and neither an electronic tone nor the buzzer will sound and the interior lamp will not flash. In this event, start all over again.

Within 45 seconds do the following
Open and close the driver's door once within 15 seconds and an electronic tone will sound for 30 seconds. If you do not perform the operations within 15 seconds an error will occur and the electronic tone will not sound. In this event, perform the registration steps again beginning with # 3 above.

Before the electronic tone stops, press the power door lock button to LOCK the same number of times as the leftmost digit of the remote.
For example, press the LOCK button 8 times if the leftmost digit of the code is 8. If the number is 3 then LOCK the door 3 times etc...
When you have finished entering the number, push to UNLOCK side within five seconds and
Then do that for all the remaining 7 digits of the code. After each series pull the lock knob to the UNLOCK side within five seconds.

When you are finished, within 5 seconds push that LOCK button to UNLOCK one time and then do it all again, the full series.
Yes, once again start with the left digit and re-enter each one using the lock button within a few seconds.
When you have entered the eighth digit the second time an electronic tone will sound for 30 seconds.

The electronic tone will stop sounding when you start entering the number. If you do not start entering the number using the lock knob before the electronic tone stops sounding, an error will occur. In this event, perform the registration steps again beginning with part 3 above.
If the interval between one push of the knob and the next exceeds five seconds, an error will occur.
In this event, perform the procedure again beginning with part 4. If an error occurs six times, perform the procedure again starting with part 3.

If the code entered the second time is not identical to the code entered the first time, an error will occur. In this event, perform the procedure again beginning with part 5. If an error occurs five times, perform the procedure again starting with part 3.

If you wish to program another remote into the system (up to four remotes can be programmed into the system), perform the procedure beginning with part 4. When you have finished programming all of the necessary remotes into the system, remove the key from the ignition switch.
Test to make sure it's right

Deleting old Remotes
The control unit of the keyless entry system can store 4 remotes.
Lost transmitter the lost transmitter's code remains in memory. For security reasons, lost transmitter codes should be deleted from the memory.
To delete old transmitter codes, program four transmitter codes into the system. If you have only one current transmitter, program it four times. If you have two
current transmitters, program each one twice. If you have three current transmitters, program two of them once and the third one twice.
This process will leave only current transmitter codes in the system's memory.

Make sure no one else is operating their keyless entry system within range of your vehicle when programming transmitters. If someone else were to operate their remote transmitter while you are programming your transmitters, it is possible that their transmitter code will be programmed into your system, allowing them unauthorized access to your vehicle.
